DISTINGUISHING MARKS Upon arrival in Rubi, Ningguang's Geo Vision has been fused into her sternum, just below her breasts. She is otherwise notably without any blemishes or scars.

PHYSICALITY Elegant and composed, Ningguang exudes a refined kind of confidence and subtle sense of power. Her movements are contained and intentional, and her gestures are typically smooth and artful. In particular, she has very fluid and precise hand movements. There is often a knowing edge to her expression, as if she is aware of some facet of a situation or person that hasn't been overtly shown. When contemplative, she will often balance her smoking pipe on her finger, or summon a few elemental jades to observe while she thinks.

HISTORY

YAOGUANG SHOAL TO THE SOUTH WHARF

Ningguang grew up impoverished and worked her way to her fortune over time through her incredible intelligence and business acumen. Her background is incredibly important to her attitude towards people and wealth itself - despite seeming to put forward an appearance of it, Ningguang is not greedy or motivated by wealth itself, but by the power it has. She also will never sit idle or consider that she has done enough, and continues working pretty much constantly.

THE JADE CHAMBER

Whether Ningguang built the Jade Chamber before or after she became Tianquan, the two have now become synonymous. A representation not only of Ningguang's personal wealth and her political position, the Jade Chamber is also a culmination of the work of hundreds of Liyue craftspeople. Hanging in the sky above Liyue, it represents the prosperity and skill of the nation, and is ever-growing as Ningguang has new rooms added to it. Ningguang's ambition is to eventually have it visible from every corner of Teyvat.

TIANQUAN OF THE LIYUE QIXING

When Zhongli, the geo archon, fakes his death, it begins a chain of events which eventually puts the entirety of Liyue under threat from an ancient god previously sealed beneath the ocean. Where previously the people of Liyue would have looked to their archon to protect them from such a threat, the climax of the battle puts to the test and proves that the nation is now able to govern and protect itself, without the need of their archon. One of the major events of this is how Ningguang uses the Jade Chamber - the seeming sum of her life's work - in the battle, and eventually as the final weapon, sinking it into the ocean in order to crush the marauding god back beneath the waves. Despite how important the Chamber seemingly is to her, she does this without hesitation or any grief in the aftermath. She had done what was needed to protect the people of Liyue, and holds no regrets for it.
She also has the Chamber rebuilt again later, but the point stands.

SKILLS

Ningguang has a mind born for business. Strategy, negotiation, and careful application of knowledge or power at the right place and moment are all arts that she undertakes on a daily basis. An eye for value and understanding of trends and patterns only refine these talents to a higher level. She also has a political mind for how she carries herself and who she interacts with, or takes under her wing. Her public image is expertly crafted, and she rarely comes across as anything other than in control, even in highly pressured situations.

OPUS AEQUILIBRIUM

Ningguang was gifted with a geo Vision by the gods. She is a catalyst user (Genshin Impact's version of mages or wizards), and uses her geo abilities by summoning gems which she propels at enemies. Ningguang does not use her catalyst for her normal and charged attacks, only for her skill and burst. For every gem hit, she is able to summon "star jades", which are bigger gems and hit harder when she does a charged attack. She is also able to summon a geo construct called the Jade Screen, which is a screen/curtain that pops into existence where she wants it to and hits enemies while doing so. This curtain works to block incoming projectiles, and also buffs geo damage when walked through. Lastly, her burst attack is a huge summoning of gems that home in on enemies. These fire both from herself and from the Jade Screen construct, if one is nearby.

Ningguang has also demonstrated some much grander geo abilities in story specific cutscenes, including moving the Jade Chamber (it's a floating mansion) and creating a huge "wall" of geo gems which then fire outwards. I personally believe this was due to her imbuing the Jade Chamber with power over time and/or her having a connection to it, but I'm including it in case she attempts something similar in Rubi.

The nine-winged phoenix is a creature of dazzling beauty, and to look upon her is to be enraptured by it. In glimmering tones of alabaster and gold and vermilion, she shines with her own light, emanating from deep within her slender body. Nine great wings extend from her back, large and strong enough to bear her aloft, and her eyes are as an eagle's, great pools of golden liquid. Her hands and feet are sharply taloned and scaled, and her body is covered in a layer of the finest, softest feathers.

POWERS

The phoenix sees the purpose and worth of all she lays eyes upon. Drawing her prey in with her beauty and light, she allows them the means to fully realise this themselves, her kiss removing an individual's inhibitions, fears or doubts, setting them free from any obstacles preventing them from achieving their truest desires or ambitions. Her touch, however, draws even deeper, slowly and pleasurably transforming an individual's flesh into the precious inorganic matter most in keeping with their inherent value.

Once transformed completely, the phoenix will take the individual for safe-keeping, preserved and elevated to be admired as they always should have been. She will protect her treasure fiercely, though often does not need to fight, as most threats find themselves falling under her influence and becoming one of her subjects instead.
